Corporate Occupation’ s researchers ‌are currently in the West Bank researching the companies profiting from the occupation, carrying out interviews with Palestinian and Israeli grassroots activists and producing writing which we hope will increase public understanding of the situation, inform solidarity activists and the BDS movement worldwide.
A group of us will also take part in grassroots activism with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), joining Palestinians in demonstrations and direct action against the Israeli colonisation of Palestinian land.

Why do we need financial help?

We need help to pay for travel to Palestine from Europe, accommodation while we are doing our interviews and research, pay accommodation fees to ISM, pay translators and pay for our travel around the West Bank. Some of this will have to come out of our own pockets, but we’d like to ask you to give us a helping hand.

Why now?
The Israeli military occupation of Palestine is becoming ever more brutal. Palestinians are rising up against the occupation. In December 2017, US President Donald Trump gave renewed US approval for Israel’s occupation, by announcing that the US would move its embassy to Jerusalem and recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Jerusalem is of huge cultural and religious importance to Palestinians, East Jerusalem was taken by military force by Israel in 1967.
Since the announcement, demonstrations have been held across the West Bank and Gaza. Right now protesters in Gaza are demonstrating weekly against Israel’s  siege, they have been met by a brutal wave of repression by the Israeli military. We feel it is time for the solidarity movement to redouble its efforts.
About the International Solidarity Movement (ISM)
The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) is a Palestinian-led movement committed to resisting the long-entrenched and systematic oppression and dispossession of the Palestinian population, using non-violent, direct-action methods and principles.
Founded in August 2001, ISM aims to support and strengthen the Palestinian popular resistance by being immediately alongside Palestinians in olive groves, on school runs, at demonstrations, within villages being attacked, by houses being demolished or where Palestinians are subject to consistent harassment or attacks from soldiers and settlers as well as numerous other situations.
About our grassroots media projects
We will interview people involved in workers’ movements, co-operatives, popular committees and women’s groups, aiming to amplify the voices of those being oppressed by the Israeli state. We will meet anti-occupation activists banned from travelling by the Israeli state, conscientious objectors facing prison for refusing to join the Israeli military, and Palestinians who have been imprisoned for their activism. We will research corporations profiting from Israel’s occupation, with the aim of providing ‘information for action’ in line with the Palestinian call for boycott, divestment and sanctions.
Supporting the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israeli apartheid
Since 2004, Palestinians have been calling on ordinary people around the world to support the campaign for boycott, divestment and sanctions against apartheid Israel. We plan to produce research and articles as ‘info for action’ to support campaigns against the companies profiting from the occupation.
About Brighton ISM
Brighton ISM is one of many support groups for ISM, based in Brighton in the South of England. Our goal is to support ISM’s work by sending activists to join ISM’s activities in Palestine. More broadly, our aims are to oppose the systematic oppression, racism and violence against Palestinians living under occupation. We are committed to opposing oppression and racism in all its forms, whoever it is directed against.
