The North Yorkshire Pension fund is invested in by dozens of UK employers. They include local councils, universites and charities. A full list of employers investing in the fund can be found here .

The following is a list of companies which the fund invest in that are complicit in Israeli apartheid, militarism and occupation, companies who operate in Israel, sell Israeli goods or invest in an of the above.

This is not a divestment list, simply a guide for campaigners hoping to put pressure on the fund.

North Yorkshire Pension Fund Investments

3m: A customer of Ofertex. Ofertex is an Israeli company based in Barkan Industrial Zone in the occupied West Bank.1

American Express: Bank Hapoalim,an Israeli bank, through its subsidiary, Israecard, is the franchisee for AMEX in Israel.2 Hapoalim operates bank branches on Israeli settlements.3
Apple: The company is a customer of Marvell Systems Solutions Israel.4

Aviva: Investor in several companies selling arms to Israel including Northrop Grumann.5

AXA: Own shares in BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, suppliers of arms to Israel.6

BAE Systems: Supplier of arms to Israel.7

Santander: Investor in BAE Systems8

Barclays: Hold shares in Raytheon,9 and provide market maker services to ITT,10 suppliers of arms to Israel. Barclays are also a major shareholder in Chevrolet and Rapiscan who supply baggage scanners for use at Israeli checkpoints.11 12

BNP Paribas: Operates branches in Israel.13

Boeing: Supplies arms to Israel.14

Caterpillar: Supplier of military bulldozers to Israel15

Chevron: Dor Alon, Chevron’s Israeli representative, has a monopoly of the supply of petroleum to Gaza and implements sanctions by cutting off the supply. Dor Alon also operates petrol stations on illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.16

Cisco: Has R&D investments in Israel.17 The company is a customer of Marvell Systems Solutions Israel.18

Coca-Cola: The company’s Israeli franchise owns Tara whose subsidiary has a dairy farm in the occupied Jordan Valley.19 Coca-Cola Israel is supplied by Adir Plastic Packaging, a company based in the settlement industrial zone of Mishor Adumim.20

Covidien: Customer of Avgol, who have a factory in Barkan settlement industrial zone.21

Danone: Operates a research institute in Israel.22

Google: Operates an R&D centre in Israel.23

Heidelberg Cement: In 2007 bought Hanson (UK) and thus became the owner of three plants in West Bank settlements and one Israeli aggregates quarry in the occupied West Bank through Hanson Israel.24

Hewlett Packard: Operates in Ra’aana High tech park and has a laboratory in Haifa’s Technion.25

HSBC: Investor in BAE Systems, supplier of arms to Israel.26

Ingersoll Rand: Owns Recognition Sytems (RSI), supplier of biometric systems for Israeli checkpoints.27

Intel: Operate in Israel.28

Johnson and Johnson: Opened office in Israel near Shfayim. Took-over Biosense, a Haifa-based producer of medical equipment29

Lloyds: Principal banker for BAE,30 supplier of arms to Israel.31

Legal and General: Investor in BAE Systems.32

Meggitt: Arms company with sales office in Israel.33

Microsoft: Have a development Centre34 in Ra’anana, north of Tel Aviv.

Mitsubishi: The company’s products are distributed in Israel by the Israeli company, Mayer Cars and Trucks who own a depot in the Mishor Adumim industrial zone.35 Mitsubishi generators are distributed by Orcal Industries and Mechanisation, whose generators are used in Atarot military checkpoint in the West Bank.36

Nestle: The company owns 50.1% of the Israeli Osem corporation. Osem plans to build a factory for Nestle in Israel.37 Osem is a customer of two companies based in the settlements.38

Procter and Gamble: Customer of Avgol, who have a factory in Barkan settlement industrial zone.39

Sainsbury: Sells Israeli and Israeli settlement produce.40

Tesco: Sells Israeli and Israeli settlement products.41

Thermo Fisher: a partner of ICx Technlogies, supplier of security systems for the settlements, apartheid wall and checkpoints.42

Tyco Electronics: Supply materials for the apartheid wall.43

Unilever: Unilever fully owns Beigel and Beigel, a baked goods’ factory in the industrial zone of Barkan, which is a settlement in the occupied West Bank. In 2010, Unilever has announced it will move the factory of Beigel and Beigel from the settlement, however this has not happened yet.44 (Update 2018: the factory has been moved out of the settlement).

Wal Mart: Owns Asda which sells Israeli and Israeli settlement produce.45
(Update 2018: Asda will merge with Sainsburys in 2018).
